Fr. Joe Petrone is a Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Erie, PA. Currently, he is assigned as Assistant Chancellor of the Diocese and a Judge in the Marriage Tribunal.

Father Joe entered seminary after college, graduating from Gannon University with a degree in Biology before entering Saint Mark Seminary in 2014. Then, in 2016, he graduated from Gannon and Saint Mark Seminary with a degree in Philosophy before beginning his Major Seminary Studies at Saint Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA. Father Joe graduated from Saint Vincent Seminary with his Masters of Divinity in May 2020, and was ordained a priest later that month. He was asked to study canon law, and in 2025 received his Licentiate in Canon Law (JCL) from Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.

Fr. Joe is a fan of NASCAR and hockey, and can often be found channeling his “inner redneck.”
